Design and Fabrication of a Fixture for a Kawasaki Welding Robot

In this project, a fixture assembly was designed and fabricated specifically for a Kawasaki robotic arm. This fixture is capable of accurately positioning and securing (fixturing) various components, enabling the robotic arm to precisely execute the welding process.

High-speed and high-precision robotic welding arms can perform various types of welding operations. A precise fixture is always required for the welding robot to be able to execute the welding process effectively.

The fabricated fixture has the capability to secure (fixture) workpieces of various sizes, ensuring the welding robot performs the welding process correctly.

The placement of the workpieces on the fixture is designed so that the workpiece position aligns (coincides) with the reference points of the robotic arm.
