An Innovative Quasi-Continuous Power Transmission System

Project Details

This idea, which has also been patented, is related to an innovative design of continuously variable transmissions. The main idea of this project is taken from the new generation of continuously variable transmissions, which are mainly known as CVT transmissions. In this project, we have an input shaft and an output shaft. There are 6 gears on each shaft that are engaged simultaneously, but the power will pass through only one pair of gears.

The gears on the output shaft consist of a gear shell and a core. In other words, the shell of the gears in the output shaft can rotate freewheeling. In connection with this project, 2 articles have been published in 2007. These articles are:

- An Innovative Quasi-Continuous Power Transmission System

- An Innovative Micro Control System for Quasi-Continuous Power Transmission Systems (QCPTS)

Below you can see the photos of this design that was made.

Some Cool Title

According to the required output torque, this gearbox can activate the actuators in the core of the gears placed on the output shaft. As each actuator is activated, the power transmission mechanism in that gear is activated. As a result, the power from the input shaft passes through the active gear pair and is transmitted through the output shaft. Below are some photos of the parts made for this project.
