Design and manufacture of a control header board for the control system of a condom testing machine
This control board based on the ARM-NXP LPC1788 microprocessor was developed and built for the control system of sanitary condom testing machine. Since the condom testing machine required a control system with high speed and accuracy, this header board was developed and tested for this machine. This control unit is used in the test device for condoms. In this device there are many mechanical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems that must harmonize with each other. In condom manufacturing factories, it is necessary to test condoms for the absence of holes after initial production. This test is carried out with an electronic testing device or ET. The basis of this device is to create a high-voltage circuit. If the condom has a hole, a short circuit occurs in the circuit and the device rejects the condom.
In the control system of the sanitary condom tester, the header board based on the ARM-NXP LPC1788 microprocessor is placed on an interface board, which contains a number of relays and SSRs as well as interface drivers for the high-voltage part of the device. The central controller communicates with the high voltage drivers via DB9 terminals.
