The main objective of this project was to introduce a production
line for light and semi-light electric vehicles for urban use. As part of this
project, an electric car for 4 people was designed and then a semi-industrial
prototype was built. After carrying out various tests, this project has entered
the industrial phase.
Due to its large scope, this project is divided into the following main
sections:
- Chassis
- Suspension and motion control system
- Body
- The electrical part of the vehicle
includes
electric motor, batteries, driver and...
- Cab equipment and accessories
- Automotive electronics section
Each part of this project has many details. In the design phase of the project,
the designs were created in such a way that the various parts could be produced
using the existing production facilities.
Most of the bulky plastic parts in this project are manufactured using
rotational molding. Special techniques were used to design and manufacture these
molds. The main chassis of this vehicle is made of resistant profiles and the
upper chassis of the body is connected to this chassis.
The illustration below shows a view of the parts of the upper chassis of the body.
The cross-section of this chassis is designed not only to provide high strength, but
also to serve as a seat for other components and parts.
Before this project, we first designed and built an electric car for two people.
After successful tests, we came to the conclusion that we could increase the number
of passengers in the car to 4 people. Here are some photos of the 2-person light
electric car project.
In this section, several videos show how this car and the 2-seater
car work.
