Electronic sub-section and control system of the rotating system intelligent balance project

Project Details

There are a number of drivers and controllers in the control and electronics section of the rotating system smart balance project. In general, the drivers used in this project are used to control the speed or magnetic field of the actuators in the project.

To better understand this project, I recommend that you first look at the related projects number 1 & 2 & 3.

The drivers used are mainly PWM generators. The main controller used in this project is an embedded system based on microcontroller NXP - LPC1788FBD208, ARM series. I had already designed and built this embedded system for the sanitary condom tester project . This controller has a high speed and is very suitable for systems that have a relatively high response frequency. Below you can see some photos of this embedded system.

The PCB design and schematic of this embedded system are shown in the following figures. These designs were drawn using Altium Designer software.

Unfortunately, during the final testing of the system, this embedded system was damaged and I could not use it during the recording of the project. I had to use a controller board based on a Micro ATmega 328P, AtmelAVR Series and a Windows laptop.

Some Cool Title

In this project, the use of electromechanical actuators required a protection system for the DC motor and its driver. Without this protection circuit, when the moving concentrated mass of the mechanism returns to the zero point, the mechanism would be blocked at that point and a lot of current would flow in the driver, causing severe damage to the DC motor and the gear connected to it. To solve this problem, I designed and built a protection circuit for the system, and this protection circuit could solve the problem well.
