Intelligent balance of the rotating system with electromechanical actuators

In this project we have a rotating system that is unbalanced and has strong vibrations. This system has 4 electromechanical actuators and can intelligently balance the system after accurately determining the unbalance position. In this project we have an electric motor that turns a vertical shaft. An overview of the rotating system without electromechanical actuators can be found in the figures below.

The different parts of the system are presented in the illustration below. Three different types of actuators can be installed on the aluminum part. These three types are:

Electro-Mechanical actuator

Radial electromagnetic actuators

Diagonal electromagnetic actuators

Only electromechanical actuators are described in this section. For other actuators, you can click on the corresponding links in the previous description.

The system in the state in which 4 electromechanical actuators are connected to the aluminum piece is shown in the following figures. A concentrated mass outside the pivot point is also connected to the aluminum piece, so that the system is unbalanced.
